Flexible, soft and comfortable

The plano-concave fundus lenses are excellent for hands-free examination of the fundus. To apply the lens, simply put a drop of BSS in the concavity. Topical anesthetics are entirely optional. Place the lens on the cornea applying a slight pressure to exclude air bubbles. The lens will remain in position -- hands-free. To remove the lens, squeeze the lens to buckle and break suction. A lens tissue will aid in removal of larger hands-free lenses.

The soft, polymeric material is comfortable for the patient and unlike hard-plastic lenses does not scratch and destroy visualization. Even if accidentally dropped, it never chips or breaks and a fast alcohol wipe and it is ready for use.

KeraLenses™provide the clinician\surgeon with a clear view into the eye without the distortion and physical distraction of constant corneal irrigation. These lenses are made of a proprietary material which is self-adhering, sufficiently flexible to conform to the shape of any cornea without condensation or bubbles, sutures or constant readjustment or irrigation. They can be sterilized by steam autoclave or ethylene oxide gas. Alternately, lenses may be sanitized in 70% alcohol.

The Koeppe (Franklin) Lens, is an anterior and posterior chamber angle examination lens. The Koeppe lens is specifically designed for office or operating room examination of the anterior and posterior chamber angles.

This diagnostic lens may be used with the "skirt" and held using the finger tab. Alternately, the lens material is self-adhering to the cornea and when applied with a slight pressure to exclude bubbles, the lens becomes a "hands-free" diagnostic device.
