Intraocular Lenses

HOME
Industry Leading Design

We feature premium grade ridgid PMMA lenses and also hydrophilic acrylic foldable lens solutions. We pioneered veterinary PMMA lenses at Keragenix. Of course, all of our lenses feature the effective formula of 41.5 diopters, a 7mm optic and haptics for 15, 16 or 17mm capsular bag requirements.

All Keragenix IOL’s are made of materials that are routinely used in human implantation using FDA approved materials. Our philosophy is to provide equivalent quality and safety profiles on our IOL’s as are routinely applied to human ophthalmology.

Using materials and manufacturing techniques that have been successful in millions of procedures is an important safety criteria to further ensure patient safety.

Keragenix started IOL service in the veterinary market nearly two decades ago. You can count on us to stay with you for the long term because we are commited to the field of veterinary ophthalmology.

In the future the goal of Keragenix foldable IOL solutions is the preservation of the unenlarged phaco incision. Due to the high dioptric power and the 7 mm optic, current lenses require significant wound enlargement prior to implantation post phaco. Advances in lens technology and materials science have lead to 1.5 mm implantation in the human patient. These advances will eventually lead to the fulfillment of implantation through unenlarged phaco incisions for the veterinary ophthalmic micro-surgeon.

The IOL & Cataract Surgery for Animals Intraocular lenses (IOLs) greatly improve the function of eyes from which the cataract has been removed by controlling the ametropia that would result if the patient were left aphakic. The IOL greatly improves the visual prognosis and ultimate rehabilitation. IOL placement also appears to reduce post-operative opacification of the lens capsule. Whether you are implanting PMMA or new foldable lens solutions, our experience in surgical ophthalmology can prove to be a resource for your practice and your patients.
